• Keeping Women and Children Safe

The 2011 Mary Kay Foundation shelter grant winners have been announced.  Each year, The Mary Kay Foundation donates $20,000 grants to 150 domestic violence shelters throughout the United States.  In total, the Foundation has now donated more than $28 million to domestic violence shelters across the country.  Many of these shelters use the funds for needed therapy, creative children’s activities or simply to keep the shelter open.

A big thank you to all of the shelters who help keep women and children safe.  For a complete of this year’s recipients, click here.  You can also watch this video on The Mary Kay Foundation

  • Beauty That Counts

We know that no shade of lipstick can cover-up the horrific damage of domestic abuse. But we are using the power of lipstick to help end domestic violence through our Beauty that Counts™ program.  Starting today through Dec. 15, we will donate one dollar from each purchase of Beauty that Counts™ Mary Kay® Creme Lipstick  in the shades of “Give Hope,” “Give Joy” and “Give Dreams” to help end domestic violence.

This is the fourth year of our Beauty that Counts™ campaign and we are proud that we have donated just under $4 million since 2008 to causes that change the lives of women and children around the world. In the U.S., we will once again support The Mary Kay Foundation in its efforts to end domestic violence.  The Mary Kay Foundation has awarded $28 million to shelters and programs addressing domestic violence prevention over the last ten years. Each year, The Mary Kay Foundation donates a total of $3 million to women’s shelters in all 50 states.

Contact your Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant if you want to purchase of one of the limited-edition lipstick shades and join us in our effort to change the lives of women and children around the world.  Learn more about how your purchase is changing lives at  marykay.com.
