I should have listened

I love makeup. When I was a teenager and in my 20s, I tried every new makeup trend as soon as it came out. Every time I went for a makeover they told me how dry my skin was. I never understood what they were trying to say, I was 25 and I never cared too much about my skin care regimen or my lack of one. I was always concerned with the make-up but not my skin.

When I turned 30, I started to see an aging difference in my skin but I was still not interested enough to use any regimen. Growing up, my mom was not a brand lover of any skin care so I just followed her footsteps and used bar soaps. It wasn’t until I was about 35 almost 40 that I started to notice more age spots and still, my very dry skin. I just thought it was age catching up to me, until I went to work for Mary Kay.

I only then realized how much a moisturizing regimen everyday affects the look and feel of my skin especially with SPF.  Now that I am 44, I use TimeWise Repair™ Volu-Firm™ Set religiously especially the day cream with the SPF 30. I love the way it makes my skin feel and I love the smell.

Who would have guessed that there was SPF in it, you can’t smell it. I now, put moisturizer on both of my children every day. I hope they will learn from me the importance of moisturizing and protecting your skin. The best skin care advice I have ever gotten was to use a moisturizer with SPF, I just wish I listened sooner.
