Wedding Guest Diaries

47 - The number of weddings I've been invited to in the last 5 years.

5,865 - The number of times I've gone shopping for weddings (okay, so maybe that's an exaggeration... but it definitely feels like it!)

1 - The makeup I rely on for my "wedding guest look"

Yes, you read that number right. Forty-seven weddings! Out of those 47, 14 of them are this year - I've got nine down and five more to go! It may seem like a lot, but I enjoy celebrating the ones I love with my friends and family with an occasional dance off or bouquet toss.

Whether you have 14 weddings this year or one or two, there is still a lot of planning that goes into your wedding guest look! Every time, without fail, I always end up standing in my closet asking myself the same questions-What dress should I wear? Should I wear my hair up or down? Do these shoes match that dress? Can I fit all of this into my suitcase?

Thanks to Mary Kay, the one thing I don't have to worry about is my makeup. For my wedding guest go-to look, I like to use deep browns and gold tones for my eyes, bronzer and a neutral lip color. I start by applying Moonstone to my eyelids and highlight my brow bones with Sweet Cream. Then, I mix French Roast and Driftwood into the crease. I use Mary Kay® Eyeliner in Black to line my lashes and Lash Love® LengtheningTM Mascara in I ♥ Black. For defined cheek bones I apply Mary Kay® Bronzing Powder in Light-Medium to create a natural looking sun-kissed glow. I top it all off with my favorite Mary Kay NouriShine Plus® Lip Gloss, Au Naturel.

You can also try this out with new Mary Kay ® Mineral Eye Colors in Silver Satin and Brilliant Black. Mary Kay Global Makeup Artist Ashley Ward provides great professional tips on how to look your best for a wedding.

Here's a photo of me with my friend Lauren (right) at her wedding where I wore this look. What's your favorite wedding guest go-to look?
