Earlier this month, I was able to meet with the inspiring group of Independent Beauty Consultants and Sales Directors from Mary Kay’s Asia Pacific region. Despite long travel hours, the group was packed with energy and that energy was contagious. I was still on "cloud nine" as I flew back home to Los Angeles.

My "LuisMasterClass" was made up of education and an overview of all new products in their markets as well as a little bit of background regarding all the things I've been up to lately in the Mary Kay world. I followed that by showing these three looks that I created specifically for the Asia Pacific sales force members:

K- Beauty Inspired Look

This look was all about creating a "glass skin" effect to the skin. I stressed the use of Mary Kay® Makeup Finishing Spray by Skindinävia as well as translucent powder in strategic areas. I also showed how to do a "blurred lip" effect and spoke about "tightlining" which is a technique that creates an almost invisible eyeliner effect.

Career Beauty Look

Here I wanted to show a look with all mattes on the eyes, getting the maximum effect of your lashes as well as the look of cream blush.

Party Look

This was all about a sparkly effect on the eyes mixed with a deep wine shade. I used a sparkling lip gloss on the lips.

The class ended with a Q&A session in which I was asked some great questions like: "How do you keep your skin from looking oily in humidity and heat?" to which I always answer that you should use powder sparingly, use Finishing Spray by Skindinävia and always carry beauty blotters for touch-ups.

All the attendees received the face charts for the day that were signed by me personally. I can't wait to see their posts when trying the looks on themselves!

The last part of the event consisted of different groups coming up and taking pictures with me, sharing those special moments that can only be felt at an event like this one.

Thank you to the teams from China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Australia & New Zealand.  Although we all might be from different parts of the world, we are united in our love for empowerment, success and beauty. These pictures say it all!!
